Postage and Handling

Dahlia Tuber Postage

We only ship to Australia – no international sales. Sorry we are unable to ship to WA, TAS and NT.

All orders will be posted via Australia Post.  We will provide you with a tracking number once your order has been sent.

The Postage and Handling fee is $18 per box.

Local pick up in Bega is available. If you choose this option we will email you with pick up information when the order is ready.

We use paper bags filled with sawdust and posted in cardboard boxes to transport Dahlia tubers.

We will only post dahlia tubers with visible eyes and they usually start appearing around late September/early October – so your tubers will not be posted immediately.

Storage

We love growing dahlias and we want you to have the best growing experience possible! This is why we check tubers for viability prior to sending.

They need to be stored correctly to remain viable if you are not planting them straight away.

When you receive your tubers, open your package immediately. If there any concerns about the quality of tubers let us know as soon as you receive your package. To prevent tubers from drying out or rotting in post-shipment storage, please ensure moisture levels in your storage medium are correct.

Dahlia Virus

We take every precaution to minimise the spread of dahlia virus, removing suspicious plants and practising good hygiene with all cutting tools between dahlia plants and when dividing tubers. We do not offer a refund if your dahlia plant becomes infected with virus during the growing season – it can be spread via insects or humans (via sap) from other plants in your garden. Dahlia virus can also be present in a plant but not show signs until a plant is under stress.

Refund if stock not available

We will offer a choice of a refund or an alternative dahlia variety if the tuber you have purchased is no longer available due to deterioration in quality. We will not substitute dahlia varieties without asking first.
